I have some gorgeous cover art for Trompe L’oeil, from the talented April Martinez. I just love it! It pulls in so many facets of the story (yes, even the towel is part of it), but the bits I’m happiest about are the brushstroke effects to mimic the appearance of the painting, and a fabulous image of the Toronto skyline. Just awesome!
Another great cover. Love the colors. Is that Toronto in the background?
Thanks Wynter, I’ve been real lucky with the covers! And yes, it’s Toronto. This book is set in Toronto, so I’m glad April incorporated it into the cover.
Is that a photo and then painting at the bottom? I can’t tell, maybe it’s just really that good.
Thanks, Deb
Hi Deb. I think it’s just a photo with a filter on it, but April Martinez perfectly captured the essence of the story.
